Just visited the Stampede on Friday, October 31, 2025. Awesome as usual. However, I did want to point something out. We had 3 children – 8 year old boy, 8 year old girl and a 6 year old girl. While we are eating dinner the waitress came and asked the parents of the girls if they could go down and compete in a game in the arena – awesome. But, when the 8 year old girl grabbed her boy cousin to go down with them – the waitress said sorry only the girls. Of course, this brought the boy to tears and it took a lot of talking to get him to sit up and enjoy his cousins getting to be in the arena – and to enjoy the rest of the show. I felt like just walking out the door – I am the grandmother. I don’t feel this was handled well. We loved the girls getting to participate and bring back medals and gifts to show their cousin but I feel a little “heads-up” before the show would be appropriate. There is plenty of time for photographs, before hand shows, etc. I think you could make time to alert a family so they could think about it -not catching a family in the middle of the meal and offering fun to 2 out of 3 children would be a better way to handle the situation.
